IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO CONDURA RUN 21KM AND 42KM RUNNERS RE. AWARDING OF MEDALS

To all 21k and 42k runners.

Congratulations on your race from all of us at Condura run. The Skyway is a beautiful and tough course and conquering it is a great achievement. Unfortunately not all of you were awarded medals. As runners ourselves, we know how disappointed you feel. This was clearly not our intention and we apologize for this.

We would like to reassure you that all REGULAR REGISTRANTS (those that registered on or before January 24 that have bibs with the medal claim stub) are ENTITLED to medals. We shall mail the medals to you at the soonest possible time. Having said that we would like to explain what happened.

1. We planned for excess medals. In fact we ordered 50 more medals per category than we needed. 50 extra pieces for the 42k and 50 extra pieces for the 21k. This was to plan for contingencies.

2. We were surprised give that we had excess inventory that we were out of medals for 21k/42k.

3. Our investigation revealed that there was an attempt to to take the box containing several medals. We were able to retrieve them and thats when we started to award medals again for the 21k/42k at about 10:00 am.

4. Nevertheless, we take full command responsibility for this. The lesson here is one of logistics. While our intention was good, awarding the 42km and 21km medal on the neck of the finisher proved to be too much of a challenge given that we were awarding medals to all race categories with 8,500 runners in 2 medal location areas. (29th street finish line for the 21k/42k and the Medal tent at the Condura Village for the 3k/5k/10k.) This resulted in a lapse in security in watching over the 21k and 42k medal box in spite of having 35 people dedicated to awarding medals.

This is a lesson for us and we would like to apologize for the stress, disappointment and inconvenience it has caused you.

We shall send your medal by mail. Kindly email us your name, bib number and mailing address. Note that we shall only be emailing medals to regular registrants that have not received their medals as verified by our DATABASE.

Our email address is secretariat@condura.com

Congrats again on the half and full marathon. All of you are CHAMPIONS!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO CONDURA RUN 21KM AND 42KM RUNNERS WITHOUT BARCODES ON THEIR RACE BIBS

Dear Condura 21km and 42km runners,
Greetings. Unfortunately, there was an error committed in printing out the race bibs. Some race bibs have a bar code and some do not have one.
Do not worry as you will still be able to run your event and you will still be timed accurately.
We have corrected this situation already with race bibs that have not yet been issued out.
For the race bib that have been issued out such as yours, may we kindly request you to do the following:
1. Write down your bib number on the perforated stub located at the lower left side portion of your bib.
The portion that says: "Give to finish official at the end of the race". "Do not pin spindle hole".

For example. If your bib number is 123, please write the number 123 on the perforated stub. Please see attached sample.

2. Please write clearly, legibly and accurately.

3. Please use a PERMANENT MARKER. Color BLACK. Be sure that it does not smear when wet as this will be exposed to water and sweat.
Do not use a pencil, ball pen, or white board marker. Only use a BLACK PERMANENT marker. (water proof if possible)

We are very sorry for this basic error. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. We are hoping for your kind understanding.

Upon receipt of this email and upon making the necessary changes kindly email us at secretariat@condura.com or text us at (0908) 880-8354.

Condura Village will now be at the parking lot in front of R.O.X.
    Thursday, 01.28.10

    Dear friends,

With just a week to go before the Condura Run there's just so much going on! Meeting our beneficiaries, sponsors, lots and lots of legwork – we might as well have ran an ultramarathon with all the efforts we are doing to ensure that this race will be the best race to kickstart this year's running season.

Some changes have been implemented though. Our Condura Village will now be at the parking lot in front of R.O.X – that's 29th corner 7th Avenue. It won't be hard to miss.

    See you on the 7th!
